Maintenance Mechanic

We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team and play a key role in maintaining the equipment and systems that keep our operation running safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do:
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving a broad range of industrial equipment and facility systems. No two days are the same as you tackle challenging projects and help ensure maximum equipment reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, repair, maintain, and install industrial equipment including:
    • Electric motors.
    • Pumps.
    • Boilers.
    • Air compressors.
    • Chillers.
    • Emergency systems.
    • Power generation equipment.
    • Power transmission systems.
    • Cranes and material handling equipment.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize equipment life.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair mobile equipment including forklifts, elevated work platforms, carts, and tractors.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and power transmission systems.
  • Perform fabrication and repair work utilizing welding, cutting, carpentry, masonry, piping, and basic machining skills.
  • Use testing and diagnostic equipment to identify issues, make operating adjustments, and ensure equipment is functioning at peak performance.
  • Conduct equipment inspections, alignments, and gear mesh checks using established maintenance practices.
  • Perform lubrication services, replace components, and support equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory and requisition necessary materials.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs, and operational reports.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and fellow Maintenance team members to safely and efficiently complete work assignments.
  • Champion workplace safety by following all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Hydraulics.
    • Pneumatics.
    • Basic electrical systems.
    • Boiler systems.
    • Plumbing and pipefitting.
    • Valves and filtration systems.
    • Fabrication and welding.
    • Lubrication systems.
    • Power transmission components.
    • Cranes and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience using predictive maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Proficiency with shop tools, machining equipment, cutting tools, and welding equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.

Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Industrial manufacturing maintenance experience strongly preferred.
  • Technical training, certifications, or related military experience are a plus.

Physical & Work Environment:
This position requires working in an industrial manufacturing environment and may involve:
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Working at heights and in confined spaces when required.
  • Lifting materials and components up to 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Exposure to heat, noise, moving machinery, welding operations, and industrial maintenance activities.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, face shields, welding helmets, and other required safety gear.
  • Rotating day/night schedules and occasional mandatory overtime as business needs require.
