Prysmian is currently hiring a Quality Technician in Lincoln, RI. This is a great opportunity for an experienced quality professional looking to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment supporting testing, inspection, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role supports the testing of compounds, wire, and cable assemblies in both production and laboratory settings. The Quality Technician will help maintain and improve the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) while working closely with production, engineering, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing and inspection of wire, cable, and compound materials.
- Ensure production processes align with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Assist with complaint investigations and corrective actions.
- Support process audits, changeovers, and production start-ups.
- Train associates on inspection equipment and testing procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement, safety, and 6S initiatives.
- Support customer and supplier quality interactions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with electrical and mechanical testing.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems and auditing practices.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.
Preferred:
- Experience in wire and cable manufacturing.
- Strong floor presence and ability to support production teams.
Education:
- Associate’s degree required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
